Once upon a time, there was a prince who wanted to marry a princess, but it had to ba a real princess. So, the prince went all over the world, looking for a real princess. Everywhere, he met young ladies who told him that they were real princess, but they were not. So, he went back home and was very sad.
One evening, there was a terrible storm. It rained heavily and there was thunder and lightning in the sky, above the royal castle. Then there was a knock at castle gate. The king went out to see who it was.
A princess was standing outside the gate. She was soaked wet. The princess told the king that she was a real princess. So, he asked her to come inside.
"Well, we'll soon find out if that is true," said the queen. The queen went to the guest room. She took the mattress and the blanket from the bed. Then she put a little green pea on top of the bed. After that, she put twenty mattresses on top of the pea, and twenty blankets on top of the mattresses. This was where the princess was going to spent the night.
The next morning, the queen asked the princess how she had slept.
"Ohh... It was terrible" answered the princess. "I didn't close my eyes at all. I don't know what was on my bed, but i lay on something hard." said the princess.
Now, the king, the queen, and the prince quite sure that this was a real princess. So, the prince married the princess.
